  • Churchill Barriers

    A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Churchill Barriers. The prevailing weather forecast, along with large waves means that flooding from the sea is expected. A combination of wave overtopping, spray and debris may result in the closure of the Churchill Barriers. To find out if the road and causeway are closed, please follow the Orkney Islands Council Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/OIC_Roads. The highest risk is either side of the high tides, which are today Sunday 10th at 21:00 GMT.
